LAS VEGAS — The Filipino American Museum is now officially open after a ribbon cutting held Friday, June 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Boulevard Mall, marking a historic milestone for Nevada’s Filipino American community.

The opening stands as a signature highlight of the 128th Philippine Independence Day celebration, observed this year by the more than 200,000 Filipino Americans living in Nevada, one of the largest and fastest‑growing Fil‑Am populations in the United States.

The museum’s launch follows a series of cultural programs and preview events showcased on its official events calendar, including heritage exhibitions, community gatherings, and educational activities designed to preserve and elevate Filipino American history. With its establishment, The Filipino American Museum becomes the first permanent institution in Nevada dedicated to chronicling the Filipino journey—from early migration to the community’s modern‑day impact across healthcare, public service, arts, and business.
