Happy Nurses Week to all our healthcare heroes!


As the celebration begins, leaders of the Philippine Nurses Association of Nevada (PNANV) joined us on the FilipiNARS podcast to share what the community can expect at this year’s much‑anticipated Nurses Week #UnGala happening May 9 in Las Vegas.



The upcoming event, themed “Honoring the Power of Professional Nurses,” marks a joyful shift from the traditional gala format. According to PNANV, the UnGala invites nurses, families, and supporters to an evening centered on fun, empowerment, and imagination — with guests encouraged to arrive dressed as their favorite superheroes.


The superhero theme reflects the organization’s message: nurses are real heroes. PNANV highlights their courage in crisis, compassion in chaos, and unwavering commitment to patient care as the inspiration behind this year’s celebration.


The May 9 event also serves as the 34th Annual PNANV Fundraising Event, supporting mission‑driven programs and placing special emphasis on sustaining and expanding the association’s scholarship initiatives for future nurses. Funds raised help strengthen professional development and uplift the next generation of Filipino and international nurses in Nevada.



The UnGala will take place at the French Quarter Ballroom at The Orleans, bringing together the nursing community for a night that honors the profession while fueling programs that shape the future of nursing.
