Filipino Food Month Opens in Las Vegas With Citywide Culinary Celebration

LAS VEGAS — Filipino Food Month began this week with the launch of a citywide food crawl designed to spotlight Filipino cuisine and the growing number of Filipino and Filipino American food businesses across the valley. The annual Bahay Buko Filipino Food Crawl opened Wednesday with a kickoff event at Truffles N Bacon Café, where diners gathered to sample new Filipino‑inspired dishes and celebrate the start of the monthlong program.

The food crawl runs April 18–31, featuring participating restaurants, cafés, pop‑ups and food creators offering special menu items and QR‑code check‑ins that allow diners to enter a raffle. The initiative aims to elevate Filipino flavors, support local entrepreneurs and strengthen cultural visibility in Southern Nevada’s diverse dining landscape.

The program is organized by the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Nevada (FACCGN) which oversees the Bahay Buko community platform. Organizers said the strong turnout at the kickoff reflects the public’s enthusiasm for Filipino cuisine and the continued growth of the Fil‑Am food scene in Las Vegas.

Filipino Food Month will conclude on May 1 with Tindahan, a culminating event at the Silverado Community Center featuring arts and crafts, food demonstrations, entertainment and curated local vendors.
