David Pomeranz Brings Music and Hope to Virginia Beach

By Josie Moralidad-Ziman

The Filipino American Cancer Care (FACC) successfully held its charity concert featuring legendary singer-songwriter David Pomeranz at the Philippine Cultural Center in Virginia Beach last Saturday, June 6, 2026. The event marked David’s first-ever performance in Virginia Beach and his second charity concert supporting FACC’s mission to help cancer patients and their families.

One of the night’s biggest highlights was David’s duet with tenor Allan Palacios Chan on The Impossible Dream, followed by a crowd-favorite performance of King and Queen of Hearts that had guests singing and dancing along. Funds raised from the concert will benefit six cancer patients, including a 19-month-old boy battling a rare yolk sac tumor and other individuals facing the challenges of cancer treatment.

The evening also showcased talented performers from the DMV area, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who came together to make the event a success.

In recognition of his generosity and continued support of cancer advocacy, David Pomeranz received the FACC Philanthropic Hero Award.
