36 Films Named Finalists for 2026 Las Vegas Filipino Short Film Festival

LAS VEGAS — The 4th Las Vegas Filipino Short Film Festival has announced the 36 official finalists selected for screening during the 2026 event, scheduled for Oct. 30 through Nov. 1 at Galaxy Theatres in Boulevard Mall.



The festival will showcase a diverse collection of films exploring culture, identity, family and the human experience while highlighting Filipino stories from a variety of perspectives.

The 2026 official finalists are: A Boy Named Lodi; Lukso ng Dugo; Mimic; Manongs; Baby Fat; Homecoming; Why Are We Here; In the Morning Sun; Milk & Honey; What's There to Celebrate?; The Unfortunate Side Effects of Drinking with a Crippling Want; Rice & Mangoes; Alma's Second Act; ShoeBox; You Could Have Been a Nurse; April Rain; Memory Jar; If I Don't Run Faster; Raya Among The Clouds; Woven Dream; Hugs & Kisses; The Call for Art; Bridging Our Stories; The Red Banca; Kain Tayo (Let's Eat); TIME BEFORE KEVIN; Galing; Oakland Ilokana; Napigsa ti Angin / The Wind is Strong; Mahal; Pepper Soup; Usa (Deer); Fil-Am; Along Comes Larry, The Larry Ramos Story; Diminishing Returns; and The Real Glory.


The selected films reflect the breadth of contemporary Filipino storytelling, ranging from deeply personal narratives to explorations of heritage, community and culture.


Now in its fourth year, the Las Vegas Filipino Short Film Festival celebrates the art of storytelling through film and provides a platform for Filipino filmmakers from diverse backgrounds to share their work with audiences. The festival is dedicated to fostering community connections and elevating Filipino voices in the cinematic landscape through the power of cinema.
