10 Outstanding Filipino Educators Honored for Excellence in Nevada Schools

LAS VEGAS — Ten Filipino educators were recognized for their dedication and impact on the state’s education system Saturday during a formal ceremony at the Celebrity Center of Las Vegas.
The awards, hosted by the Filipino American Educators of Nevada (FAME), honored the "Most Outstanding Fil-Am Teachers of Nevada" for 2026. The event highlighted the increasing role of Filipino professionals within the Clark County School District (CCSD), where they now serve in significant numbers.
Over the last decade, CCSD has utilized international recruitment to address persistent staffing vacancies. Filipino educators have become a key demographic in this effort, filling critical positions in special education, mathematics, and science.
